Open Studio

Throughout the United States and many other countries, artists of any level of talent and experience meet in private and public spaces to pursue an activity that has been one of the essential practices of art; drawing models from life. Most session have a standard format, two or three hours which begin with a few gesture or “warm-up” poses which the model only holds for about a minute, followed by longer poses of about 20 minutes each. Other sessions may have one long pose which allows for a more finished work to be completed.
