At the end of the twentieth century, I had a studio in an artist’s cooperative, doing figure drawings and paintings from life. I began photographing the same models in the cooperative’s art gallery, which had very good natural light. Many models were also artists, making the work much more collaborative than the typical photographer-model relationship.
